The Odesa branch of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture was established in September 1994 by a decision of the Foundation’s Administrative Council and based on a permit from the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (registration no. 27, dated April 8, 1994). The Odesa City Council provided the branch with three buildings, one of which historically belonged to Grigorii Ivanovych Marazli, where Greeks lived and members of the “Filiki Eteria” society gathered.
