The Jewish Cultural Center “Beit Grand” is a modern center for holistic human development, designed as the most optimal place for Odesites to spend their leisure time. In fact, our center is a wonderful metaphor for Odesa itself: we present Jewish culture, but we are completely open to everyone!
The center’s activities are divided into several areas. The most important focus of JCC “Beit Grand” is the holistic development of our visitors. Currently, the center offers 11 main directions, which are subdivided into more than 30 studios covering a wide range of interests and tastes (dance, sports, creative, and educational studios). A significant portion of these studios is aimed at the harmonious development of children. As one of Odesa’s remarkable figures, Isaac Babel, once said: “… Jews are lovers of children because it is very good and necessary to love children.” The main task of the Cultural Center “Beit Grand” is to enable every child to unlock their innate potential through the full development of their mind, body, and emotional world. The primary form of education here lies not in the simple transmission of ready-made truths and knowledge but in fostering freedom of thought among the young.
The “Beit Grand” Center is also renowned for its event schedule, which is filled with theatrical performances and musical events. The concert hall, designed to seat 204 people, is equipped with climate control, as well as modern sound, lighting, and projection systems.
